Bookmark Terms of Use
Last updated: September 14, 2026
These terms govern your use of Bookmark, including the iOS app, the website at joinbookmark.com, and the Chrome clipper. If you do not agree, do not use Bookmark.
The service
Bookmark is a personal reading library. You save URLs, books, and related notes; we provide reader, search, catalogs, discovery, and optional AI assistance. You are responsible for the content you import and for having the right to save it for personal use.
Accounts
You must provide a valid email and a password of at least 8 characters. Keep your credentials confidential. You can delete your account at any time (iOS: More → Account → Delete account; web: Settings → Account).
Trial and subscriptions
- New accounts receive a 14-day trial created on our servers. That trial is not an Apple introductory offer unless we separately configure one in App Store Connect.
- Bookmark Pro — Monthly and Bookmark Pro — Annual unlock the product after the trial. Length and price are shown in the app before you buy, and charged in your local currency by Apple or Stripe.
- On iOS, purchases are auto-renewing In-App Purchases billed by Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. The subscription renews unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- On the website, purchases go through Stripe Checkout. Manage or cancel via the Stripe customer portal in Settings → Billing.
- If you already subscribe on the web, that subscription continues to work in the iOS app. iOS does not check out on Stripe.
Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the iOS app: Standard EULA.
Acceptable use
Do not abuse the service (including scraping, attacking, sharing accounts, or using AI features to violate others’ rights). We may suspend or delete accounts that harm the service or other users.
AI features
Chat, embeddings, recommendations, and listen-to-article send relevant text to model providers (OpenAI and/or Anthropic). Outputs can be wrong. Do not rely on them as professional advice.
Intellectual property
Bookmark and its software are owned by us. You retain rights to content you save. You grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to provide the service.
Disclaimer and liability
Bookmark is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of library data beyond restoring from our backups where available. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits.
Changes
We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
